ISO Documentation — Ready When They Arrive
Fire Department Compliance Software Built Around Real Standards
Axe & Node was built from the ground up to document compliance with the standards that actually govern fire department operations — not generic "compliance" checkboxes. Every module maps directly to a specific NFPA standard, OSHA requirement, or ISO grading criterion, with field-level references so you know exactly what documentation each record produces.
For ISO grading, the platform produces drill attendance reports, apparatus utilization logs, hose test records, certification documentation, and hydrant testing history — the specific documentation categories ISO auditors request. Records are exportable as PDF or CSV on demand, not assembled manually under audit pressure.
For NFPA 1001 compliance, the Skills Catalog stores NFPA section references per skill, drill sign-off sheets record Pass/Fail/NI results per member, and the Skills Freshness Grid shows every member's skill currency by recency band — giving training officers a real-time view of who needs a refresher before the next incident.
For OSHA 1910.1020, exposure incidents are logged per member with type classification and linked to the incident record. Records are stored permanently in the database with a 30-year retention posture — meeting the standard's requirement for employee exposure records. Note: Axe & Node covers the exposure records portion of 1910.1020 only. Physician evaluations and employee medical records require a separate medical records system.
